Improvements in sea lice impact on wild salmon seen in 2024 Norwegian survey in production areas 4-6

The Institute of Marine Research's published the results of their wild salmon sea lice survey for PO1-7 for the 2024 season. While the number of captured fish were lower in many regions, mortality exposure showed significant improvements in numerous regions.

Samples are collected through a combination of salmon stationary traps and trawling methods. Mortality exposure is the percentage of sampled fish that had potentially deadly levels of sea lice covering their body (>10% total coverage).
