Between 2020 and 2021, there were 163 anti-Asian attacks recorded in 20 states across the U.S., including 5 states with exactly one. In 12 other states there were between 2 and 10 anti-Asian attacks during the pandemic. In Oregon and California, there were 16 and 38, respectively. And in New York, there were 56 – more in those two years than had happened in the previous 20 years combined.
