Mercury contamination levels at all sample points around the Veolia landfill exceeded quality guidelines

Thresholds shown are from Canada's Sediment Quality Guidelines for the Protection of Aquatic Life . Mercury levels below 0.17 mg/kg are rarely linked to negative impacts, while levels above 0.486 mg/kg are frequently associated with adverse biological effects.
