Maximum level of PFAS detected in public water systems

There are more than 1,600 public water systems in the state. Any system that provides water from a source like a well to 25 people or more for at least 60 days a year is a public system.
The state's allowable limit is 20 parts per trillion for the sum of six specific PFAS chemicals.

To get more information on the most recent tests in your city or town, you can search the state drinking water portal linked below. PFAS data in the state portal dates back to 2018. Only data from "finished," or treated, water are included in the map.
