Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services in G20 Countries
Swiss Re Institute considers intact ecosystems to be those locations in the upper 15th percentile globally in providing biodiversity and ecosystem services. Whereas, fragile ecosystems are those in the lower 15th percentile and have suffered degradation. SRI also calculated a score for how relatively dependent each G20 country's GDP is on biodiversity and ecosystem services.
This table shows the percentage of fragile and intact ecosystems in the G20 countries and their GDP's dependency on biodiversity and ecosystem services.
