This chart shows how much the two-party-preferred (2PP) vote differs between an ‘average’ electorate and electorates with high proportion of workers in either the extractive or transformative industry, or are in managerial, administrative or sales/clerical roles.
The figures indicate impact on Coalition’s 2PP vote (%). For example, in 2016, an electorate with high proportion of workers in mining and other extractive industries had, on average, more than 9% higher vote for the Coalition than the
average electorate (on a 2PP % basis).
