If everyone eligible voted, the Electoral College would be a little fairer

In this map, states are colored red or blue based on the results of their popular vote for president in 2020. If everyone who was eligible to vote had cast a ballot, there would be 42 midrange-colored states whose voters would have a roughly average amount of influence over the outcome of the Electoral College. There would be seven darker-colored states, plus the District of Columbia, where voters would have a disproportionately large amount of Electoral College power. Just one state, Florida, would have disproportionately less power.
