Displaced by Disaster

Over the last year, Black households were more than two times more likely to be displaced by a natural disaster -- such as hurricanes, floods, and fires -- than white households. This has led to decreased household incomes and an increase in water and food scarcity for Black families, the U.S. Census Bureau found.
