Every race and ethnicity has seen a decline in its death rate over those years, however, the disparities in death rates are visible and significant. Black women have the highest death rate, 143 per 100,000 in population as of 2020. White women have the next highest, 129. American Indian women are next, at 107, followed by Hispanic women (91) and Asian American women (81).
