Philly’s Share of Pa.’s Vote Totals Fell Once Again

This was the third federal election in a row that Philadelphia’s portion of Pennsylvania’s vote total fell.

The drop means the city was outvoted this year by Pittsburgh’s Allegheny County, which has about 133,000 fewer registered voters but contributed tens of thousands more votes.

Percentages are based on votes cast in the race at the top of the ticket: president, U.S. Senate, or governor. This year’s results are nearly entirely complete but not yet final.
