Sports Betting Revenue (2018-2025)

The U.S. sports betting industry, now in its eighth year of state-regulated operations outside of Nevada, is reaping big profits, according to data collected by ABC News / OTV. Thus far, operators have combined to generate more than $50 billion of gross revenue, while raking in more than $600 billion. New Jersey has been at or near the top of revenue-producing states post-regulation, and continues to be among the biggest money-making states after moving in front of Nevada in 2021. But New York climbed into the overall top spot among 40 revenue-producing states in early 2025. Here are state totals for sports betting across all active markets from June 2018 through 2025.
