Hastings well contamination

The city of Hastings plans to build three facilities to remove PFAS — a group of synthetic chemicals associated with certain cancers — from its water supply. Recent tests show all six of Hastings' wells contain levels of PFOA, one forever chemical, exceeding the EPA limit of 4 parts per trillion (ppt).
