Avian Flu Impact on Biggest Egg-Producing States

Among the five biggest egg-producing states, Iowa and Pennsylvania were hardest hit. In those two states the average number egg-laying hens, shown in millions, in the second half of 2022 was far below the level in the corresponding period of 2021.
