Affected areas lie in the Sierra Nevada foothills, the North Coast, the North Valley, the North Bay mountains and parts of the Bay Area, according to a PG&E news release, with about 48,000 customers 18 counties. Nearly 7,100 Bay Area customers could be affected in Alameda, Contra Costa, Napa, Solano and Sonoma counties.
