Victims of computer fraud rarely see their money returned
In cases where people lose money to fraud, banks are often able to secure a full reimbursement. But for consumer scams like ticket fraud, getting full money back is harder - and near-impossible for money lost to computer viruses.
The crime survey interviews around 31,000 people in households across England and Wales, and then projects estimated crime numbers across the population using weighting.
