This chart shows the percent of Hispanic and White individuals convicted of a non-traffic crime or DUI who were detained pretrial. This indicator helps to identify potential disparities in pretrial detention recommendations.

Due to data limitations, this indicator includes only pretrial detention for individuals convicted of a crime, using time served sentencing information. Detention periods of less than 3 days are excluded to omit mandatory jail holds. Cases grouped by disposition date. Last name used to better identify Hispanic individuals.
