Maximum value of proposed tax credit for renters

SB24-146 would provide a discount on income taxes for renters in Colorado. The credit is non-refundable, so its value can only be as large as your income tax obligation.

 Lower-income households may qualify for other new state credits, too, including an expanded Earned Income Tax Credit and a new Child Tax Credit.
