Financial Deprivation Index is a composite index that measures financial underdevelopment on the basis of number of branches, deposit mobilization and credit disbursal (population-adjusted). It shows a broad North-East to South-West gradient, but also significant heterogeneity among neighbour states such as Arunanchal Pradesh and Manipur.
