Long-Term Residential Care Can Be Hard to Afford

Six in 10 of those who stayed in a long-term care facility or were familiar with a loved one’s experience in a facility said it was “somewhat difficult” or “very difficult” to afford the cost. Half said it was difficult for themselves or a family member to afford paid nurses or aides.
