Faculty designations differ across gender lines, University of Missouri report shows

The average wage gap is statistically significant, but other statistics suggest that some portion of the wage gap by gender was likely due to differences in personal and work-related characteristics across genders, according to the report. Departments with higher average salaries are also predominantly male.
