By 2004 the rate declined to 5, and it was lower than 4 in 2009. It hovered around 3 from 2013 to 2015, and declined to 2.2 in 2000, the first year of the pandemic. In 2021 and 2022 it has increased and, in 2022, is at 2.5 cases per 100,000.
