Texas COVID-19 Positivity Rate

The numbers below indicate the percentage of positive cases of COVID-19 reported daily by the Texas DSHS, calculated as a 7-day average. The all-time high in Texas was 15.85% on April 12. The state did not report a positivity rate on May 23 or provide enough data to compute the rate.

Rates above 15% are in red.
Rates between 10% and 15% are in orange
Rates between 5% and 10% are in yellow
Rates below 5% are in green

*Open Texas began in phases on May 1 with more openings May 8 and May 18. Until May 20, the calculation included antibody tests as well as viral tests. The removal of antibody tests on May 20 led to a small increase in the rate.
