Americans' Views on Moral Acceptability of Changing One's Gender, by Subgroup, 2021 vs. 2023
Regardless of whether or not you think it should be legal, please tell me whether you personally believe that in general it is morally acceptable or morally wrong to change one's gender.

Currently, 15% of Republicans, 46% of independents, 70% of Democrats, 56% of people who know a transgender person and 40% who do not know a transgender person think it is morally acceptable. Independents and Democrats views are roughly the same as in 2021, but the other groups are now less inclined than in 2021 to say it is morally acceptable.
