During the height of the Covid-19 pandemic all modes of commuting to work saw a large reduction. As of 2024, most cities have not seen their rate of transit commuting recover or increase compared to before the pandemic. While most cities have not fully recovered to their pre-pandemic rates, the vast majority have seen some recovery.

The Covid-19 pandemic disrupted many commuting patterns. This table shows rates of transit commuting before and after the pandemic for cities.
