On July 1, there were a large number of out-of-state farm worker positions on the Mississippi Works job search engine. Farm worker was the most common position, responsible for nearly 20 percent of all openings. The next three positions -- meat cutters, retail supervisors and food prep workers -- made up another 13 percent of the openings.
