Total contributions by members of the U.S. Army, by party of recipients

From 2000 through 2014, members of the U.S. Army gave more money to Republican candidates and party committees than to Democrats in each cycle. Since 2016, most of the money has gone to the Democratic side. These totals include donations from retirees and reservists who list the Army as their employer.
