Number of Manhattan apartment sales per quarter since 2016

The number of quarterly Manhattan apartment sales has trended upward year over year after falling sharply in mid-2022, largely due to higher rates.
The number of Q1 2026 transactions was on par with Q1 2025. Several weeks of data are yet to be recorded by the NYC Department of Finance for Q2 2026.
