Property crime rates in Chapel Hill have fluctuated in recent years

The Chapel Hill Police Department reports property crimes measured in crimes per 100,000 people. The most recent reported property crime rate as of Quarter 1 of the 2022 fiscal year  is 481 property crimes per 100,000 town residents.
