Industries with Higher Risk of Workplace TBIs
Based on 2023 U.S. occupational injury data. Includes all reported traumatic brain injuries across major industries. Industries were ranked based on their overall TBI risk, using national data showing which job sectors face the highest exposure to the major causes of traumatic brain injuries: falls, vehicle collisions, struck-by incidents, machinery accidents, and blasts. Sectors with frequent high-hazard tasks (like working at heights, driving, or operating heavy equipment) rank highest, while industries with more controlled or lower-risk environments fall lower on the list.
