A look at influenza-like illness by state

Most states in the U.S. reported “high” or “very high” levels of influenza-like illness during the week ending Dec. 27, 2025.

The CDC said it's possible this data may encompass flu and other respiratory illnesses because it's based on outpatient visits for symptoms of fever and cough or sore throat. Not featured on the map: Puerto Rico is reporting "very high" levels of flu-like illness, the U.S. Virgin Islands are reporting "minimal" levels.
