According to MBIE’s published arrivals data, there have been 103,821 Pacific RSE visa arrivals between 2007 and 2022. The difference between MBIE’s 103,821 visa arrivals and the 101,840 visa arrivals used in our analysis is small – 1,981 arrivals or 1.9%. This means that the data that underpins this preliminary analysis of Pacific participants in the scheme, as distinct from visa arrivals, can be regarded as near-complete estimates even if they are not, in themselves, definitive figures.
