A U.S. map shows the estimated share of the population who are unauthorized immigrants by state in 2023. Eight states and Washington, D.C., were estimated to have 5% or more unauthorized immigrants: Florida, Nevada, New Jersey, Maryland, California, Connecticut and Texas. There is insufficient data to estimate the share for Montana and Vermont.
