A stacked bar chart illustrating the employment status of the population aged between 25 and 59 in the fourth quarter of 2024. The vast majority of the African community are employed as wage earners in the private sector, a minority are self-employed, and, overall, they have a marginal presence in the public sector. As for entrepreneurship, the data once again reveal a key difference between Moroccans and Sub-Saharans: 11% of Moroccans are employed as self-employed workers or business owners, compared with 4% of Sub-Saharans. A quarter of Moroccans working in the retail sector are self-employed (25%), and a further 8% are business owners with employees.
