The majority of workers paid less than $19.69 work full time

The bars show the share of workers paid low wages (compared to all workers) who usually work part time (less than 35 hours per week) and the share who usually work full time (35 hours per week or more).

The chart compares the work schedules of low-wage workers and all workers. Low-wage workers are more likely to work part-time (30.4%) compared to all workers (16.4%). A smaller percentage of low-wage workers work full-time (69.6%) compared to all workers (83.6%); however, the majority of low-wage workers are employed full-time.
