Autism in children not linked to prenatal exposure to antipsychotics
Apparent associations between antipsychotic medication use during pregnancy and autism are likely due to maternal psychiatric conditions and not the drugs themselves. The hazard ratios below were adjusted using a propensity score approach, which accounts for confounding factors. Comparisons that are statistically significant are indicated in bold.
