By Plant Owner, TVA Building Most Gas Capacity (1 of 2)

Actual and planned generator data from EIA for the years 2020 to 2035, along with manual additions of TVA's planned gas plants, reveals that the Tennessee Valley Authority has the largest planned addition of gas capacity among all plant owners. The table shows the top 10 plant owners by net gas additions. Most aside from TVA are independent power producers (*), rather than utilities, and all belong to other balancing authorities.
