Areas hurt by marijuana arrests, higher unemployment

Regions shown in red were identified by Connecticut's Social Equity Council as being disproportionately impacted by cannabis prohibition in the past, as indicated by higher rates of marijuana arrests and unemployment.

Disproportionately impacted areas are census tracts with either a conviction rate for cannabis-related convictions from 1982-2020 greater than one-tenth of population, or an unemployment rate greater than 10%.
