The largest diaspora groups in the US come from Europe, Latin America, Asia and North America

Diaspora groups are people in the U.S. who trace their origin to another country. Some are recent arrivals who were born elsewhere. Others were born in the U.S. but claim ancestral ties to a different home country. People in the U.S. who were born elsewhere may be naturalized citizens, lawful permanent immigrants, refugees, people granted asylum, legal nonimmigrants (including those on student, work or other temporary visas), or may be living in the U.S. without authorization.
