The survey, conducted from Oct. 17 to Nov. 14, 2023, found that high school teachers and those in urban areas were most likely to report such incidents. The lowest share was elementary school teachers, at 16%. Among all teachers, 23% said they'd experienced at least one gun-related lockdown during the academic year ending 2023.
