Defense contracts have grown sharply in LA County over the past 10 years, including in 13 of the area’s 17 Congressional districts. All but one went for Kamala Harris in 2024, often by a wide margin, even though President Donald Trump’s Space Force buildup has been a key driver of local defense growth.
