Florida's Gen Zers had higher average anxiety scores than older generations

Based on the participants' responses to the GAD-7 questionnaire, it is clear that on average, young adults in Florida are struggling with much higher anxiety than older adults in the Sunshine State.

The GAD-7 questionnaire assesses symptoms of generalized anxiety disorder. A score under 10 indicates minimal (0-4) or mild (5-9) anxiety. Those over 10 exhibit moderate (10-14) to severe anxiety (15 or higher). Of the 500 adult Floridians in the authors' survey, there were 41 from Gen Z, 123 millennials, 120 Gen Xers, 186 baby boomers and 30 members of the Silent Generation.
