How Erie County earmarked $178 million in American Rescue Plan money

Erie County allocated the bulk of its American Rescue Plan money on one-time construction-related expenses, including sewer projects, ErieNet broadband and parks projects. A smaller amount also went toward one-time grants and operational expenses like "hazard pay" for essential county workers.
