Equity REIT regimes are active in 43 countries and regions.

An additional 11 nations have enacted REIT legislation but are yet to see IPOs. A further 16 countries are exploring the REIT model.

The global REIT market cap is around USD2 trillion, with seven marquee markets - USA, Australia, Japan, Singapore, the UK, France and Canada - accounting for 88% of the total.

The USA continues to dominate the global landscape, while China and India are the world's fastest-growing REIT marketplaces.
