Electric vehicles are expected to be just 3% of overall vehicle sales this year, according to IHS Markit. Gas cars, or those with internal combustion engines (ICE), make up the vast majority, a projected 91% this year. But as more vehicles become available, EVs and alternative hybrid vehicles will grow to a larger market share, with EVs at 11% by 2030.
