Support for stricter gun laws declined in 2020 and 2021
Gallup has assessed U.S. public sentiment regarding gun regulations for the past 30 years by asking this question: "In general do you feel that the laws covering the sale of firearms should be made more strict, less strict or kept as they are now?"
