We asked U.S. adult citizens to answer 20 questions on American government and history from a practice-test study tool designed to assist in preparation for the civics portion of the U.S. naturalization test. The real test is conducted verbally and applicants are not provided with multiple-choice options. To pass, applicants must answer six of 10 questions correctly. We defined passing as answering 12 of 20 questions correctly.
