Cycle averages weight polls taken closer to Election Day more heavily (180-day half-life). The 2026 cycle includes data through mid-October 2026. Gaps are cycles with no polling. Economy includes Gallup’s “keeping the country prosperous” question, and national security includes Gallup’s question on protecting the country from terrorism and military threats.
