Ten states have controlled pumpkin production for the last five years

Even after a 30% decline, Illinois still leads in pumpkin production. Much of it comes from Morton, a village in Tazewell County, where a Nestlé/Libby’s plant packs about 85% of the world’s canned pumpkin.
