SGBV caseload statistics for Magistrate Courts for  2020/2021

According to the Kenya Health Information System data for January to June 2021, 10,997 females and 717 males were victims of GBV. This is higher compared to a similar period in the year 2020 where 7,291 females and 500 males were victims of SGBV.

Assault cases have been included due to the fact that at court level, it is difficult to distinguish assault cases that are gender based in nature from other assault cases.
