Population Shifts in Pennsylvania

In a continuation of a long-term trend, most of the counties in Western Pennsylvania lost residents from 2020 to 2022, while counties in the southeast and south-central part of the state added population — with the notable exceptions of Philadelphia, and Bucks and Delaware Counties.
